Each month, we recognize one of these employees as our Volunteer of the Month and invite them to choose a local organization to receive a donation.
This month’s honoree, Ericha, chose the Anderson Valley Senior Center, where she serves as a board member and volunteer.
In our rural communities, the Senior Center is much more than a gathering place. It provides rides to medical appointments and shopping, serves fresh and nutritious meals, delivers Meals on Wheels to homebound seniors, and helps older adults remain healthy, independent, and connected.
“When seniors have access to reliable transportation, nutritious meals, and supportive services, they can live healthier, more independent lives,” Ericha shared. “Knowing that my efforts help sustain these programs and strengthen our community is what makes this work so important to me.”
Please join us in celebrating Ericha—and thanking the Anderson Valley Senior Citizen Center, its volunteers, and supporters for the care they provide to local seniors and their families every day.
To learn more or lend a hand, watch for the Center’s annual community fundraisers, including its October Chili Cookoff, January Crab Feed, and Summer BBQ. https://avseniorcenter#andersonvalley
